How Meal Plans Are Created
During a Consultation
After recording a consultation, ask the AI:
- "Create a meal plan for this patient"
- "Build a meal plan based on our discussion"
The AI considers the consultation conversation, patient health data, and any dietary restrictions discussed.
Via Patient Chat
Start an AI chat for the patient and request a meal plan. The AI will use the patient's health profile and any available lab data.
Using Templates
Meal plan generation follows your configured templates. Customize the structure and content through the Template Library.
Meal Plan Content
A typical meal plan includes:
- Nutritional targets — Calorie goals, macronutrient breakdown
- Meal schedule — Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Recipes and portions — Specific food items with serving sizes
- Dietary notes — Allergies, preferences, and restrictions
- Supplementation — If applicable
Meal Plan Generation Process
When generating a meal plan, Meelio:
- Calculates BMR and TDEE based on patient data
- Determines macronutrient targets
- Checks for medication interactions and safety constraints
- Generates a personalized plan
The AI may take a moment to generate meal plans due to the complexity of nutritional calculations.
