Patient Detail

The patient detail page — Clinical Intelligence, health records, consultations, and more.

The patient detail page is the central hub for everything related to a specific patient. Access it by clicking a patient's name in the Patient List.

Page Layout

At the top, you'll see the patient's basic information:

  • Name
  • Status (Active, Inactive, Prospective)
  • Key details (date of birth, email, phone)
  • Edit button to update patient information
  • More Actions menu (... icon) to access secondary actions such as Import transcript

Below the header, the page is organized into sections and tabs.

Clinical Intelligence

Located prominently at the top of the page, the Clinical Intelligence section provides a unified conversational interface to query your patient's history and generate clinical assets.

At its core is a freeform AI Composer allowing you to ask any custom question about the patient's clinical picture. Below the composer, you will find quick-start options designed to streamline your workflow:

Ask Anything (Freeform Composer)

Type any custom question or command into the input box (e.g., "Summarize the patient's gut symptoms over the last three visits" or "Draft an email summarizing their treatment options") and press Enter or click the arrow button. Meelio opens the Patient Chat with your question pre-loaded, utilizing the patient's entire clinical context (health records, past consultations, and notes).

Quick-Start Chips (Reasoning)

Click any of the Try chips to quickly initiate a clinical reasoning conversation:

  • Health Timeline — Summarize the patient's health history and identify root-cause drivers.
  • Protocol Recommendations — Query recommended protocols tailored to the patient's profile.
  • Clinical Red Flags — Screen the patient's records for potential red flags or clinical concerns.

Compact Creation Buttons (Generate)

Click any of the Create buttons to immediately draft foundational documentation or clinical resources:

  • Clinical Note — Generate a comprehensive clinical note or assessment.
  • Care Plan — Design a condition-specific care plan.
  • Meal Plan — Create a personalized meal plan with nutritional recommendations.
  • Action List — Extract a list of labs, supplements, and orders.

When you submit a prompt or query, Meelio opens the Patient Chat with the selected prompt, using the patient's entire history (health records, past consultations, and notes) as context.

Importing a Past Transcript

If you have a written transcript from an old consultation (e.g., from a past Zoom meeting or a legacy recording tool), you can import it directly to Meelio instead of starting a new recording:

  1. Click the More actions (... icon) dropdown on the top-right of the patient header and select Import transcript. (If the patient has no consultations recorded yet, you can also click the Import transcript button under the Consultations tab).
  2. Paste your transcript text into the Transcript box. For best results, organize the dialogue with clear speaker prefixes (e.g., Practitioner: and Patient:).
  3. Click Import (or use the shortcut Ctrl + Enter / Cmd + Enter). Meelio will bootstrap a new consultation and automatically begin generating clinical summaries and notes from the transcript.
